Road Closure Information

Road works

Wessex Water are replacing the main water pipe along the road that passes outside our site and the road will be completely closed to traffic while the work is being done. The work is taking place over several months and is planned in 2 stages.

The first stage has now been completed and access from Burrowbridge direction is open at all times.

From 1^st May to 12^th May there are no closures or restrictions from any direction.

The second stage of the work begins on 13^th May and is due to end on 22^nd July. Access from North Curry will be closed between 8am and 4pm Monday to Friday. Diversions will be clearly marked. If approaching from North Curry the shortest route is via Broad Lane and Huntham. This is a very narrow road with few passing places. The longer diversion will be via the A361 and Burrowbridge.  

The road is closed to all traffic except bicycles. People on bicycles are requested to dismount and walk through the section where the work is being done.

The road will be fully open to all traffic on Saturdays and Bank Holidays.
